Finally, a bit of news for all you budding musicians out there. This was brought to my attention by a fellow cohort and it's something you might want to check out Jango Airplay. It's a cheap way to get your music out there to the world. It's essentially an online radio promo service for emerging artists that guarantees plays next to established artists of their choosing. Artists submit their song and photo, pick 10 artists that they think would have similar fans and target their audience by age, gender & location. Jango then plays their music in listener created stations "seeded" by those established artists. Listeners can then rate and become real fans of the emerging artist. So if you're a young band looking to get some credibility it's something worthy of checking out.
Until next week...
