Boston’s indie-pop quintet The Hush Now is gearing up to self-release their new EP, Shiver Me Starships, on September 28th,and today we have a new track to share with you!“The Other Ones”catches the band at their finest, combining catchy hooks with the bands’ irresistible pop melodies.
The band has four EP Release shows planned around the release of Shiver Me Starships- they’ll be performing at The Living Room in New York on September 24th,as well as a hometown release show at Mad Oak Studios in Allston, MA on October 2nd. Two more shows are also slated, one for Chicago at Elbo Room on October 4th and Cleveland at Beachland on October 6th.
Shiver Me Starships will be The Hush Now’s follow-up to their highly successful full-length, Constellations, which charted in the CMJ Top 50 and received praise from Morning Becomes Electric & BBC Radio 6.The EP was recorded with David Newton of the The Mighty Lemon Drops in LA- the studio flooded on the first day of recording, which might have appeared to be a bad omen, yet came serve as an unconventional good luck charm; the rest of the recording went flawlessly, resulting in the successful production of an amazing album.
