I'm Totally Trashed on Fiction

Influenced by the roots-rock of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Neil Young, The Band, the early country rock of Gram Parsons and their latter-day disciples Wilco, as well as the Midwest alt-rock of The Replacements, Trashed on Fiction play indie rock in that old fashioned way that so few people remember nowadays (hell, they even look like old indie rockers).

They write noisy and raw songs that sound as if they're going to fall apart in the middle. The songs that make up Words Trails Maps are all a bit chaotic even at their most downtrodden. It's uncompromising stuff that's held together with duct tape and a prayer and that's why it's ridiculously good. Trashed on Fiction play music the way it's meant to be played...with honesty and tons of heart.

Two years in the making, Words Trails Maps is an album not just about growing older, or leaving home, the surreal characters we call friends, or the cavalier hearts of youth. But rather, the contemplative silence between these experiences, and the jubilant debauchery afterward.
