Rock It Science Labs Strikes Gold

Folks...it's been a dreadful week. The number of mediocre tracks coming across the POP! Stereo headquarters has been stifling. Here it is Thursday and this is the first thing that seems worthy of our time. That being said, lets hop to it shall we?

The latest drop on the hot new label Rock It Science Laboratories, created and run by Eric Sharp and DJ Fame, is a masterpiece from S.I.M.O. & Native Intelligence complete with genre-busting remixes including veteran of the UK tech scene Evil Eddie Richards,Dubnoir’s Chris James, NYC’s Bit Crushers and Dubstep phenoms The Flying Skulls.

With this the label's fourth EP, the figured they'd just hand out a bazillion tracks and let you sort out which ones are your faves. They're all over the place and you might just end up getting dizzy by the time you finish listening to them all.

TWR72 Digs A Tunnel

With a friendship longer than ten years, The Walk and Rogerseventytwo started to work together as dj’s in the summer of 2004. Soon gigs followed in the Netherlands, including the big festivals, Prague, Paris, Copenhagen, Bratislava, Berlin, Freiburg and London. Six years later, they haven't killed each other and have actually gone on a successful recording binge garning support from everywhere.

Definitely one for the late nights TWR72's new single, Tunnel was recently released on Amsterdam’s own Instant Replay Label. This twisted, stripped down, bangin tune builds and builds to the end. Tunnel is a simple monster that gets every party going. A loop that keeps rising, and building, building and rising...and then it leaves you depressed.

Acid Pauli Returns

Back in February, I posted a couple of tracks by Acid Pauli. If you remember Acid Pauli is better known as Console in the ever popular Notwist. He's a musician on a rampage and can't be stopped. Following several releases through 2009 (Marvin on Compost, Smaul 06 & Smaul 07) plus releases earlier in the year including Riverboat Tour. Now, he's at it again by providing us with summery tunes that are psychedelic and deeply thrilling.

His reputation continues to develop with his atmospheric tracks that are from another world. Throw in some strange influences to that ambiance and you have a guy that produces tracks that are out there and far more melodic than your average minimal techno track.

See for yourselves...

Sander Kleinenberg Wants To Rock You All Night Long

The inimitable international DJ, producer and label boss Sander Kleinenberg is back with his latest release R.Y.A.N.L (Rock You All Night Long) on Little Mountain Recordings.

R.Y.A.N.L is a peak-time disco fuelled future anthem. It's robotic devastation designed to whip a crowd into a frenzy. Throbby, banging, and groovy as hell the song is the sound of a 1000 Terminators on a rampage. As if to prove the point the breakdown alone is the aural equivalent of a mushroom cloud. It's simple and effective stuff that's destined to cause dance floor devastation.

R.Y.A.N.L is the follow-up to Sander’s 2009 summer anthem This Is Our Night which is also taken from his highly anticipated self titled debut studio album 5K (release expected in Summer 2010).

The release is available as a Beatport exclusive from 29th March with the rest of the download world to follow two weeks later on 12th April.

Oh No It's Godzilla!

Godzilla - a collaboration between label boss Dylan Rhymes and Tom Real who is better known for his work alongside The Rogue Element under the alias Disco of Doom.

Unsurprisingly given the track's name and the combined musical pedigree of those who made it the original is nothing short of a dancefloor destroying techno monster - slowly emerging from the deep before unleashing its full fury in the form of searing synths and a rolling bassline that promises to crush all those that dare stand in its sonic path! File this away under legendary as this timeless techno masterpiece.

As for the remix below...it is the sound of Godzilla trampling everything in it's path. It's a marching, crushing, monster of a tune that builds from echoes and repetitive throbs into an explosion of a tune that the city of Tokyo should have nightmares about.
